July 14, 2021 - Construction Slated for Fall 2021

The timetable for the Southeast Seminole Heights Flooding Relief Project has shifted. Construction is now anticipated to begin this fall.

In late July, the Governing Board of the Southwest Florida Water Management District will consider the City of Tampa’s request to co-fund this important flood control work.  Tampa City Council will be asked for final approval after that meeting, likely sometime in August.  After City Council approval, the City will issue a Notice to Proceed for construction. Work will get underway a month or two after the Notice to Proceed is approved and materials for the project are procured.

We will post periodic updates to this website as soon as more information is available.
